Meet Ryan D. Womack, MD, DDS

Ryan D. Womack, MD, DDS is a native of the state of Texas.  He purchased Dr. Michael J. Medley’s well respected and established Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice in July of 2012 and is excited to now be a part of the Olympia, Washington community!  Dr. Womack attended Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth, Texas where he competed in track & field and cross country, while earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.  After completing his undergraduate studies he was accepted to the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston (UTMB), located in Galveston, Texas, where he earned his Medical Degree.  After graduating medical school, Dr. Womack, completed an internship in general surgery at Texas Tech University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas.   During his internship he gained great experience caring for critically ill and injured patients as well as performing and assisting with a variety of surgical procedures.  In July of 2006 Dr. Womack was accepted to the Baylor College of Dentistry Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery program in Dallas, Texas, as their first previously medically trained resident.  Over the following six years Dr. Womack earned both his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and his certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the Baylor College of Dentistry.  

While Dr. Womack practices the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, his clinical interest are wisdom teeth, dental implants, bone grafting, IV sedation/general anesthesia, corrective jaw surgery and facial trauma.  Dr. Womack is dedicated to continuing education in both the medical and dental fields as well as staying up-to-date with the ever changing medical and dental technology.

Dr. Womack is a member of several professional groups including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association (national, state and local branches), the Washington State Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Baylor Oral and Maxillofacial Alumni Association, and the TCU Letterman’s Association.

Dr. Womack met his wife, April who is a Registered Nurse, while in medical school and they were married in April of 2005. They are the proud parents of a son and twin girls.  His personal interest and hobbies include spending time with family, staying active by running and cycling, and spending time outdoors.
